Invader – Rubik Kubrick (2007)

“Here’s Johnny” moment from Stanley Kubrick’s classic 1980 film “The Shining” captured by French urban artist Invader. An Iconic moment as Jack Nicholson’s axes through the door and shouts the line with that crazy smile. This piece is produced entirely out of rubik cubes (300 in total) on a wood panel.

Invader produced a series of rubik cube pictures including one inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 film “A Clockwork Orange” and other developed from album covers, such as Björk’s 1993 LP “Debut”, Pink Floyd’s fifth album “Atom Heart Mother” from 1970 and Iron Maiden’s self-eponymous 1980 debut album.
